Brigitte Vachon est ergothérapeute et chercheure. Ses travaux de recherche portent principalement sur le développement d’une culture d’amélioration continue de la qualité en soins de première ligne.
Les intérêts de recherche de Pre Vachon incluent l’implantation et l’évaluation du projet COMPAS en collaboration avec l’INESSS afin de favoriser l’amélioration continue des services offerts aux personnes ayant des maladies chroniques au Québec suivies en première ligne. Ce projet favorise l’utilisation des mégadonnées comme source de rétroaction pour les professionnels et les gestionnaires, la pratique réflexive, une approche populationnelle et l’intégration des processus d’amélioration continue de la qualité. Elle a aussi étudié l’utilisation et les effets du portfolio professionnel pour le développement professionnel continu des ergothérapeutes. Finalement, la participation des patients à l'amélioration des soins de première ligne est un aspect important de ses projets de recherche.
